1.) Your custom framed art is created by the owners of the company, Jim and Treasure Phillips. Our future depends on special attention to quality and craftsmanship.

Other online retailers are owned by shareholders. Most shareholders do not actively participate in creating framed art.

2.) When you call for customer service, you’ll be assisted by the owners of the company. We have a great incentive to make you happy.

When you call for service, you will be speaking with a service employee.

3.) We use only solid wood frames for your framed art. Solid wood is universally recognized as the superior material for custom framed art. If they don’t specifically say solid wood, it may not be.

Other online retailers use styrene (plastic), polystyrene (plastic), metal, MDF, and solid wood frames. MDF is medium density fiberboard. MDF is wood byproducts held together with glue and resins. You’ll have to do your homework to know which product you’re getting.

4.) We use only acid free Crescent mats. Crescent is respected as a leading supplier of quality acid free to the art and framing community. We do not charge extra for this quality.

Other online retailers use paper and acid free mats. The choice of acid free mats is limited compared to the paper, and they charge extra for acid free mats.

5.) We offer ‘decorative cut’ mat corners. We are the only online custom framing company to offer this attractive and advanced feature.

Other online retailers do not offer ‘decorative cut’ mats.

6.) Our simple and intuitive custom framing software allows you to change the width of the mats you choose for your framed art.

Some other online retailers do not allow you to choose the width of your mats.

7.) We offer dry mounted prints. Dry mounted prints represent the most cost effective option of displaying art with rigid support to prevent bowing and creasing.

Other online retailers offer laminated prints. Laminated prints are not mounted on a rigid support and may bow or crease when hung.

8.) We offer the do-it-yourself art framing enthusiast the option of purchasing just a frame, just a mat, or a combination of frame, mat and glazing.

Other online retailers do not offer separate framing components for the do-it-yourself art framer.

9.) Your framed art is created from start to finish by one experienced custom framer in a traditional custom frame shop.

Most other online retailers frame the art on an assembly line manned by several employees.

10.) We offer the same, large selection of frames for our canvas selections as we do for our prints.

Other online retailers offer a limited selection of frames for canvas transfers.

11.) Framed-Arts.com does not charge for a fitting fee.
